The Emory University men's basketball team collected its second win in three games to close out its trip to Spain, defeating the Barcelona All-Stars 85-72 on Wednesday.
"The third game of the trip is a game where you need contributions from everyone," Head Coach
Jason Zimmerman said after the game. "We got that tonight. The competitive spirit of our group continues to grow. The three games in Spain gave us an opportunity to continue to mature as a basketball team and individuals and our group has taken advantage of those opportunities."
Senior
Albert Fallas shined in the Spain finale, notching a team-leading 19 points as he was 6-for-9 from three-point range. The fourth-year guard added team-highs with five assists and three steals to go along with four rebounds.
Juniors
Jair Knight and
Ben Pearce joined Fallas in double figures with 15 and 12 points, respectively. Senior
Logan Shanahan had a well-rounded game with nine points, six rebounds and a team-best three blocks.
As was the case in the team's win over the Madrid All-Stars, 10 and the 11 Eagles that saw action ended up in the scoring column.
"Barcelona has been the perfect way to end our time in Spain," Zimmerman continued. "The trip has been an incredible experience for our team. Thank you to everyone who helped make it possible."
The Eagles will be returning to the United States this weekend.
