Volleyball Selected to Host NCAA Opening Rounds; Faces Covenant in First Round

The No. 4 ranked Emory volleyball program was named one of the regional hosts for the 2024 NCAA Tournament and will host eight teams in Atlanta, Georgia. The Eagles have made the tournament for 28 consecutive seasons, the second longest active streak in Division III just behind Juniata.

The Eagles (26-2), who come in as the top ranked team in the region, will face the Covenant College Scots (22-12) who secured their automatic bid after winning the Collegiate Conference of the South championship title. The two teams will face off for the 15th time in program history with the Eagles holding a 13-1 advantage. The last matchup was last season in the second round of the NCAA Tournament where Emory took the match with a 3-1 decision.

Also joining Emory and Covenant in the eight-team regional will be Southern Virginia, Whitworth, Berry, Trinity (TX) and Transylvania who all earned automatic bids as well as Claremont-M-S who received an at large bid earlier today.
