Christian Liew did so in doubles. Despite a few close matches, Comu and Lasanajak were bounced from the main singles draw. Meanwhile, Feng and Liew won their match in the first round of the consolation bracket.
Lasanajak was pitted against the draw's No. 4 seed in Denison's Ethan Green on Friday. The junior pushed Green to the brink in both sets but ultimately fell short as he was on the wrong side of a 7-5, 7-5 sweep.
Comu matched up with Rensselaer's Aiden Drover-Mattinen, the draw's No. 3 seed, in his second-round match. He took Drover-Mattinen to the edge as well, dropping his first set 5-7 but could not climb back in the second set as he fell, 6-3, in the following frame.
The two will both play a consolation match tomorrow, scheduled for an 11:00 AM start. Comu will take on Denison's Kael Shalin Shah and Lasnajak is set to face Tufts' Vuk Vuksanovic.
After narrowly dropping their first-round match yesterday, Liew and Feng were out for vengeance and made quick work of their opponents. Taking on Mary Washington's duo of Evan Fisher and Brock Ladehoff, the pair of underclassmen won in straight sets (6-1, 6-3). They will take on Claremont-Mudd-Scripps' pairing of Brandon Vu and Caleb Settles in the next round of the consolation bracket. That match will start at 5:00 PM tomorrow, October 12
