Tristan Reaves

Tristan Reaves joined Emory Athletics as Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach in March of 2021. In July of 2022, he switched full-time roles and moved to the Eagle Edge program as the Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Success while continuing to contribute to the strength and conditioning department.

Reaves came to Emory after serving as an intern for the Northern Illinois University Strength and Conditioning program where he worked with Olympic Sports. He has also trained and coached in the private sector since 2019.

Tristan earned his bachelor’s (2017) and master’s degrees (2019) from the University of Central Florida in Sports and Exercise Science.  While at UCF Reaves was a member of the highly successful football team, earning a scholarship his junior year.  He was part of a program that appeared in four bowl games including the 2018 Peach Bowl that saw the Knights defeat Auburn University, 34-27. In addition, he garnered American Conference All-Academic honors on two occasions.

Tristan was nominated by the NSCA as a 2024 national assistant strength & conditioning coach of the year.  Additionally, he is an Effective Facilitator for the NCAA and the Institute of Sport & Social Justice.

Reaves is CSCS and FRCms certified.
