Emory University

Derrick McFerrien joined the Department of Athletics & Recreation as the Coordinator of Recreation Operations and Scheduling on November 4th, 2024. In this role, he will oversee and manage student staff, ensuring smooth operations and scheduling for recreation activities, student organizations, and various Emory Departments at the Woodruff PE Center (WPEC). Additionally, he will assist with the management of our summer camp programs for internal groups.

Prior to joining Emory, Derrick had previous facilities & operations stints with Georgia Tech Athletics, Atlanta Vibe, and the University of West Georgia. He most recently served as a Ticket Analytics & Operations Intern with the Gwinnett Stripers.

McFerrien earned his undergraduate degree in Sport Management from West Georgia in 2023.
