Prior to Emory:
Was a four-year member of the Torrey Pines High School track and field team, serving as a team captain her junior and senior seasons... Finished in second place in the 400-meter dash at the 2013 league championships... Claimed fifth place in the 4x400-meter relay at the CIF Championships in 2013... Helped her team to league titles in 2011 and 2012... Recorded career-best times of 13.19 seconds in the 100-meter dash, 26.72 seconds in the 200-meter dash and 59.82 seconds in the 400-meter dash... Coached by Mike Stevens.

Born August 4th... Was an AP Scholar with distinction and a Union Tribune Scholar-Athlete in high school.
