Competed for the Saint James High School track and field teamfor one seasons... Finished third in the state meet in the javelinduring her senior year... Recorded a career-best distance of 31.97meters in the javelin throw... Helped her team to a third-placefinish at the state meet in 2010... Coached by TimTimmerman... Also played basketball in high school, serving as theteam captain her junior and senior years and finishing hercareer with 1,300 points, the second-most in her school'shistory.
