Biography

Senior (2010-11):

McManigle earned all-America honors for the third-straightseason during her senior year, after winning the doubles draw ofthe USTA/ITA Fall South Regional Championships with ZahraDawson (and claiming sixth at the ITA Small College FallNationals), and finishing second at the NCAA Division III DoublesChampionships for the second-straight season.  She completedthe year as the Nation's 35th-ranked singles player andsecond-ranked doubles player (along with Gabrielle Clark), inaddition to being ranked 10th in the Atlantic South Region for hersingles play and first for doubles.  McManigle led all Eaglesduring the season in doubles victories, going 32-9 to tie theschool record for doubles victories in a single season.  Shewas 18-6 during the year in first singles matches, and 11-2 indoubles tournament play.  McManigle finished the year with a19-11 record in singles contests, including a mark of 9-5 as theEagles' third-singles player, the position that she spent themajority of the season at.  She was named the Atlantic SouthRegion Senior Player of the Year by the ITA, and earned a nod tothe all-UAA first team for her play at third singles.  Sheearned UAA Athlete of the Week honors on April 18th, May 16th andMay 31st.  McManigle finished her Emory career second inschool history with 93 doubles wins, 18th with a .699 doubleswinning percentage (93-40 overall), and seventh with 75 singleswins (75-44 overall for a .630 winning percentage).

Junior (2009-10):

McManigle followed her National Championship 2008-09 season withanother strong campaign, finishing the year will all-America honorsas both a singles and doubles player.  McManigle ended theseason ranked 14th among all-Division III singles players, andsecond among all doubles teams.  She teamed with Zahra Dawsonto finish second at the NCAA Division III Doubles Championships,advancing to the finals before falling in three sets to theeventual champions.  McManigle finished the season with ateam-high 23 doubles victories, and an overall doubles record of23-13, including a 15-10 mark as the team's first doublesteam.  In singles play, she ended the campaign with an overallrecord of 16-13, including a 7-3 mark in tournament play.  Atthe UAA Championships, McManigle earned all-UAA second team honorsfor her play as Emory's first doubles team, going 2-0 in conferencedoubles matches.  In the fall, McManigle won both the singlesand doubles brackets of the Wilson/ ITA Fall South RegionChampionships for the second-consecutive year.  She advancedto the ITA Small College Fall National Championships, where shefinished seventh in the singles bracket and sixth in the doublestournament.

Sophomore (2008-09):

McManigle became the second NCAA Division III Women's SinglesChampion in the history of Emory's women's tennis program,defeating Ploy Suthajindawong of the College St. Scholastica 6-2,6-1 to earn the title.  Entering the singles bracket as thefifth-seeded player, she lost just one set en route to thechampionship.  McManigle finished the season as the top-rankedsingles player in Division III with a record of 25-10 during theyear.  The sophomore also earned all-America honors during thefall season, winning both the Wilson/ ITA Atlantic South RegionalSingles and Doubles Championships and eventually finishing sixth insingles and seventh in doubles at the ITA Small CollegeNationals.  McManigle was 23-6 in doubles matches during theyear, including a 16-3 mark when partner with Zahra Dawson. The duo finished the year as the 19th-ranked doublesteam in the nation.  McManigle was also named to the all-UAAfirst team for her play on the Eagles' second-doubles team, and theteam's co-Most Valuable Player with Lindsay Reidenbach.

Freshman (2007-08):

McManigle finished the season as the 38th-ranked singles playerin Division III, and earned a spot on the all-University AthleticAssociation first team for her performance on the Eagles'third-doubles team during the annual conference tournament. She also earned the team's Rookie of the Year honor after hersuccessful freshman campaign.  McManigle went 15-10 in singlesmatches, including a 7-4 mark as Emory's third-singlesplayer.  She went 15-12 with four different partners indoubles play, but compiled a mark of 12-5 with Sara Vrabec, as thepairing won eight of their last nine matches.
