Biography

Freshman (2014-15):

Fowler completed her freshman season with an overall record of 15-5 in singles and 9-3 in doubles. She was 8-2 in singles tournament play and 6-3 in double tournaments. During the Fall ITA Regionals, Fowler reached the singles tournament semi-finals after knocking off the #1 player in the field from Sewanee 6-3, 6-3 in the quarterfinals. She also reached the semi-finals of the ITA Regionals doubles tournament with partner Stephanie Loutsenko. During the spring schedule, Fowler earned a win in the #6 singles match against then ranked #1- Georgia Gwinett College on February 26th. She added wins in the #6 singles against then ranked #8-Pomona-Pitzer (March 9th), #17-Azusa Pacific (March 12th) and #14-DePauw University (March 29th).

Prior to Emory:

Was a four-year member of the Westminster Schools tennis team, serving as the team captain during her senior year... Was named her team's Most Valuable Player all four years... Played at no. 1 singles all four years of high school... Helped her team win the State Championship her junior and senior years, and finish as the runner-up during her freshman and sophomore years... Was coached in high school by Scoot Dimon, Jennifer Timmis and Ricky Dimon.

Personal:

Born September 13th... Participates in the Relay for Life and Outdoor Emory... Received the National Merit Emory Scholarship... Was a member of the National Honor Society and an AP Scholar with Distinction in high school.

Why she chose Emory:

"On the tennis side, I believe Division III tennis fits me perfectly, and Emory's team balances great players, tough practices and amazing results.  On the academic side, I want to pursue public health and my dream is to work at the CDC.  Emory seems like the perfect place to pursue my goals."
