Biography

Senior (2012-13):

Wylie ended her career by being named the ITA Atlantic SouthRegion Senior Player of the Year, and claiming all-UniversityAthletic Association (UAA) First Team acclaim for her performanceas both Emory’s third singles player and as a part of theEagles’ second doubles team with Madison Gordon.  Shecompleted the season with a singles record of 15-13, and her careerrecord of 70-14 gives her the 14th-most victories in theprogram history.  Including in her season tally was a recordof 10-7 during the spring season, and a 4-2 record as Emory’sthird singles player.  In addition, she was 15-9 in doublesplay during the year, improving her career ledger to 62-37, the18th-most victories in program history.  She went13-6 when teamed with Gordon, winning six-straight matches over astretch that included the UAA Championships and the first tworounds of the NCAA Tournament.  During the ITA Fall AtlanticSouth Regional Championships, Wylie was the second overall seed inthe singles draw, and advanced to the title match before falling toteammate Gabrielle Clark.  She also teamed with StephanieLoutsenko in the doubles draw, reaching the quarterfinals beforedropping a contest to the draw’s top-seeded pair.  Atthe Duckworth Fall Classic, Wylie finished fourth in her singlesflight, despite facing higher-Division competition.  She alsoearned UAA Athlete of the Week honors on May 6th for thesecond time during her career.

 

Junior (2011-12):

For the second-straight season, Wylie earned all-America honorsin the spring for her singles play.  She was selected as aparticipant in the NCAA Individual Championships, advancing to theround of 16 of singles tournament before falling to the draw'stop-seeded player.  Wylie finished the year with a singlesrecord of 15-9, and her 55 career wins at the end of her junioryear rank as the 19th-most in the program's history.  Wylieended the season as the 25th-ranked singles player in Division III,and the ninth-ranked player in the Atlantic South Region.  Shewas named to the all-UAA first team for her performance as Emory'ssecond-singles player, going 2-0 during theconference championships.  Wylie added a 13-15 mark indoubles action during the season.  In the fall, she advancedto the semifinals of the ITA Regionals singles draw, and advancedto the finals of the doubles draw with Brenna Kelly.

 

Sophomore (2010-11):

Wylie earned an all-America honor for her singles play in 2011,after being selected to the NCAA Division III Singles Championshipsand winning her first round match, before falling in the round of16 to the eventual NCAA Singles Champion, Kristin Lim.  Wylieended the year ranked 12th among Division III players for hersingles play, and fourth in the Atlantic South Region.  Shewas 20-10 in singles matches during the season, including 10-6 inthe second-singles role, where she played the majority of thetime.  She was 19-5 in doubles play in 2011, including a 14-1mark with teammate Zahra Dawson, and 17-2 in second doublesmatches.  Wylie and Dawson ended the year ranked 24th inDivision III and sixth in the Atlantic South Region.  Sheearned all-UAA first team honors for her second doubles play. In the fall, she advanced to the semifinals of singles bracket atthe USTA/ITA Fall South Region Championships.  Wylie was namedthe UAA Athlete of the Week on March 21st.

 

Freshman (2009-10):

During her inaugural season with the Eagles, Wylie was named thesquad's Rookie of the Year after recording a singles record of20-8, and a doubles mark of 15-8.  She finished the campaignas the 24th-ranked singles player in the Atlantic SouthRegion.  Wylie also earned all-UAA second team honors for bothher third singles and third doubles play at the conferencechampionships.  In the fall, Wylie won her first threematches at the Wilson/ ITA Fall South Region SinglesChampionships, before falling to teammate Zahra Dawson in thesemifinal round.

Played for three seasons on the Centennial High School varsitywomen's tennis team, serving as the team captain during her senioryear... Was ranked as high as ninth in Georgia and 32nd in theSouth... A Georgia State Closed winner and a Georgia State Openfinalist.
