Biography

Freshman (2012-13):

Taylor claimed an all-America honor for her doubles play duringthe fall season in her inaugural campaign for the Eagles.  Thefreshman teamed with Gabrielle Clark to win the doubles draw ofboth the ITA Fall Atlantic South Regional Championship and theDivision III draw ITA Small College Nationals.  The pairbecame the third doubles team to win the ITA Small College NationalChampionship in the history of the Emory Women’s Tennisprogram.  Teaming with Brenna Kelly in the spring, Taylorearned a place on the all-University Athletic Association (UAA)First Team for her play at third doubles.  The duo won theirfinal 12 matches of the season together, and were 16-2 overallduring the spring season.  Taylor finished the year with anoverall doubles record of 27-7, giving her the fourth-most doublesvictories ever by an Eagle during a freshman campaign.  Sheadded a 4-3 record in singles matches, including a win asEmory’s sixth singles player against Division II ClaytonState University in her only singles action of the springseason.  In the fall, she advanced to the quarterfinals of thesingles draw at the ITA Atlantic South Region Championships as thetournament’s ninth seeded player.
