Biography

Senior (2015-16):

Rosen rounded out her career by tallying 20 singles victories in a season for first time since her freshman campaign as she finished the year with a 20-9 overall record to go along with an 8-1 mark in doubles play. Rosen earned All-UAA First Team honors for the third time in her career, helping Emory to its fourth straight UAA championship, playing at fourth singles. Rosen went 1-1 in the NCAA tournament in 2016 helping the Eagles to their second national championship in the past three seasons and was leading in three other matches before going in the books as unfinished. In the fall, Rosen advanced to the ITA South Regional quarterfinals in the singles draw and the semifinals of the doubles competition playing with Madison Gordon. She added CoSIDA Academic All-District kudos for the second straight season and concluded her four-year career with 81 victories in singles action which places her fifth on the Emory all-time list.

Junior (2014-15):

Rosen may have had her best season with the Eagles as a junior. She was 19-10 overall in singles, ranking 13th nationally, 3rd regionally at the end of the season and was one of four Eagles to reach the 20-win mark in doubles, going 20-6, and ranked 8th in doubles play at the conclusion of the season. Rosen was named an ITA All-America in both the fall and spring, earned All-UAA Second Team honors for no. 1 singles and was named to the Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District team. She began the fall season by capturing the ITA South Regional singles crown, knocking off teammates Fuhr, Harding and Su in the final three rounds. Rosen also reached the Fall ITA South regional doubles championship match with partner Michelle DeMeo. She added a Georgia Southern Invite doubles championship with Melissa Goodman and reached the quarterfinals in the doubles competition at the Grizzly Open to conclude the fall season. In the spring, Rosen went 10-4 in doubles and 11-7 in singles including a win in no. 2 singles (6-3,6-1) against Clairmont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges in the NCAA semi-finals.

Sophomore (2013-14):

Rosen turned in another successful campaign for Emory in 2013-14, earning a spot on the all-University Athletic Association (UAA) First Team for her performance at second singles.  She finished the year ranked 36th in the Nation and 11th in the region in singles play, going 18-8 in singles matches during the year.  Included in her overall record were marks of 11-3 as Emory’s second singles player and 3-0 at third singles.  Rosen won ten of her last 11 singles matches during the year.  She also claimed wins in eight of her last nine doubles contests during the season, including a 4-1 mark in NCAA Tournament action, when paired with both Madison Gordon and Rebecca Siegler.  She finished the season with an overall doubles record of 16-9, and was ranked 10th in the region in the final poll of the year.  In the fall, Rosen reached the semifinals of both the singles and doubles draw at the ITA Regionals.

Freshman (2012-13):

Rosen recorded one of the most successful freshman campaigns in the history of the Emory Women’s Tennis program during the 2012-13 season.  She finished the year with an 24-9 record in singles matches, the fourth-most victories by a freshman in Emory history, and the second-most wins on the team during the season.  Rosen earned all-America honors in the spring for her singles play, advancing to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Individual Championships.  She finished the year as the ninth-ranked singles player in the Division III, the highest-ranked freshman in the country.  Rosen was named the ITA Atlantic South Region Rookie of the Year, becoming the sixth player in the program’s history to earn the honor.  She also claimed the University Athletic Association’s (UAA) Rookie of the Year Award, the fourth Eagle to ever earn the honor, and was named to the all-UAA First Team for her play at second singles.  She was 17-4 in singles matches during dual contests, at one point recording 14-consecutive wins.  Rosen also recorded a 17-4 record against Division III opponents during the season, with each of her losses coming against players ranked among the top-20 in the final national poll.  In the fall, Rosen, the eighth-overall seed, advanced to the quarterfinals of both the singles and doubles draws at the ITA South Regional Championships.  Rosen finished the year with a 4-10 record in doubles matches, including a 3-3 mark in third doubles matches during the spring.  She was named the UAA Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career on April 8th.
