Biography

Senior (2017-18):

Fuhr was named to the All-University Athletic Association Second Team in doubles and was named All-UAA Honorable Mention in singles after registering marks of 22-9 in doubles and 3-5 in singles during her senior season. Fuhr and doubles partner Stephanie Taylor finished the year ranked 18th nationally, recording an 18-7 overall record and a 16-6 mark at second doubles. The tandem went a perfect 5-0 during Emory’s NCAA tournament run including an 8-6 victory over CMS’ Catherine Allen and Caroline Cox in the championship match. Earlier in the season, Fuhr and Taylor were undefeated at second doubles in three UAA Championship matches, earning a spot on the UAA All-Tournament team.

Junior (2016-17):

Did not see action during the 2016-17 season.

Sophomore (2015-16):

As a sophomore, Fuhr posted a 22-13 doubles record, playing primarily at the no. 1 position, and tallied an 8-4 record in singles matches, closing out the year winning her final four matches. In the fall, Fuhr reached the semifinals of the ITA South Regional tournament in the doubles draw playing with Michelle Satterfield. In the singles competition of the regional tournament, she advanced to the Round of 16 before bowing out to teammate Beatrice Rosen. Fuhr teamed with Madison Gordon to go 4-1 in five NCAA tournament matches, playing at first doubles, helping Emory advance to the National Championship for the fourth straight season and wining the program’s second national title during that span.

Freshman (2014-15):

Fuhr had an outstanding freshman season for Emory, recording a 13-2 overall singles record and a 20-17 overall doubles mark including a 9-6 mark in doubles tournament play. She was named an ITA All-American in doubles for both the fall and spring seasons. Fuhr, along with partner Michelle Satterfield, finished ranked tied for 10th nationally, 4th regionally in doubles. In the spring, Fuhr and Satterfield reached the round of 16 in the NCAA Championship doubles tournament. During the Fall ITA Small Regional, Fuhr claimed the doubles tournament title with partner Katrina Su in a 8-5 victory over teammates Michelle DeMeo and Beatrice Rosen. She added a sixth place finish in the ITA Small College National Tournament with partner Su and earned double victories against six nationally ranked teams in the spring including an 8-4 win with Satterfield in the NCAA Championship match against #1 Williams.

Prior to Emory:

Played on the Steward School team for five years, serving two stints as a team captain... Spent four years as the squad's top singles and doubles player... Was selected as the team Most Valuable Player in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2014, going undefeated in singles play in each of those four years... Helped her team to the CIS Championship in 2010... Also played basketball her freshman year of high school.

Personal:

Born November 13th... Mother, Joy, was an all-American tennis player at Princeton and played on the professional tour.
