Biography
Junior (2007-08):
Axtell competed in the backstroke events for the Eagles duringthe 2007-08 season. She was the Eagles' sixth-best performerin the 200-yard backstroke (2:13.01), and the seventh-bestperformer in the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.02). Axtell scored31 points for the Eagles in meets during the season.
Sophomore (2006-07):
Competed in eight-different events for the Eagles during hersophomore season. She earned All-America honorable mentionsfor her performance in the 100-backstroke and 200-backstroke duringthe 2007 NCAA Championships. At the University AthleticAssociation (UAA) Championship meet, she was the conferencechampion in the 100-backstroke and earned All-UAA honors in the200-medley relay and 100-backstroke. Axtell scored 158 pointsduring meets for the Eagles throughout the season, the 11th-besttotal on the team.
Freshman (2005-06):
Axtell, a freshman, qualified for her first NCAA Division IIInational championship this season. At nationals she earned anAll-America Honorable Mention honor with her 16th place finish inthe 200-yard backstroke competition.
