Biography

Sophomore (2007-08):

Psaris was Emory's top performer in the 200-yard butterfly,recording a time of 2:06.79 during a dual meet against theUniversity of North Carolina - Wilmington.  She scored 69.25points in meets during the season for the Eagles.

Freshman (2006-07):

Psaris' completed an extremely successful freshman season withthe Eagles, earning six all-America certificates during thecampaign and setting school records in four events.  She wasan all-American in the 500 freestyle, 100 butterfly, and 200butterfly, and as part of the 400-medley relay, 400-freestyle relayand 800-freestyle relay teams.  Psaris became just the thirdEagle freshman to earn three or more all-America honors inindividual events.  Her times of 55.96 and 2:02.04 in the 100-and 200-yard butterfly, respectively, were both school records andthe fourth-best times in Division III history.  She was alsopart of the Emory-record setting 400- and 800-freestyle relayteams.  Psaris' six all-America certificates are thesecond-most by an Emory freshman.  She was named theUniversity Athletic Association (UAA) Rookie of the Year, afterwinning two events and earned all-association honors in threeothers.  Psaris led the team with 515.75 points in meetsthroughout the season, the best total by an Eagle by over 100points.

Prior to Emory:

Competed on The Madeira School swimming team for four seasons,serving as the captain during her senior season... Swam in the 100meter fly and freestyle... Was named the Madeira School Swimmer ofthe Year in 2004 and 2006... Holder of four state records and hadfour all-American times... Was coached by Rod Montrie in highschool, and by club coach Mike Pliuskiatis.
