Biography

Junior (2004-05):

Finished 31st on the team out of 39 competitors in points scoredin dual and championship meets.

Sophomore (2003-04):

Schneibel was accorded honorable mention All-America statusafter finishing 14th in the 100-yard backstroke at the NCAAchampionships. She is the fourth-fastest individual in schoolhistory in that event. She was ninth on the team out of 35competitors in points scored in dual and championship meets.

Freshman (2002-03):

Freshman Kari Schneibel earned two All-America citations byswimming the backstroke leg on the 200- and 400-yard medley relaysthat finished in the top eight at the NCAA national meet. Schneibelalso earned honorable mention All-America recognition by finishing12th in the 100 back at the NCAA meet. She was the conferencechampion in the 100- and the 200-yard backstroke events. She becamethe fifth Eagle in history to accomplish that sweep. Her time of58.90 seconds in the 100-yard backstroke makes her thesecond-fastest individual in school history. Schneibel rankedeighth out of 33 Emory swimmers in points scored this season indual and championship meets. She was named the NCAA Division IIInational Swimmer of the Week by collegeswimming.com following herperformance at the conference championships.
