Biography
Senior (2004-05):
The senior qualified for the national meet for the third year ina row. Mavrodin earned All-America honorable mention for the secondconsecutive year in the 200-yard breaststroke, and also earnedAll-America honorable mention for the 400-yard individual medley.She was the conference champion in the 200-yard breaststroke, andearned all-conference honors in the 200-yard breaststroke and200-yard individual medley. Her performance in the 200-yardbreaststroke at the conference championships was the team's fastesttime of the season. She also had four of the team's top six timesin the event this season. She finished the season with nineprovisional qualifying times combined in the 200-yard breaststroke,400-yard individual medley and 200-yard individual medley. Shegraduates with the third-best time in school history in the400-yard individual medley and fourth-best time in the 200-yardbreaststroke.
Junior (2003-04):
Junior Julia Mavrodin earned All-America recognition in the400-yard individual medley at the national championships for thesecond year in a row. She also received All-America honorablemention honors in the 200-yard breaststroke. Mavrodin finishedsecond at the conference championships in the 200 breaststroke. Hertime was the fastest time on the team in that event this season.
Sophomore (2002-03):
Sophomore Julia Mavrodin earned All-America honorable mentionhonors by finishing 14th in the 400-yard individual medley at theNCAA national championships. She also placed 28th in the 200-yardbreaststroke and 31st in the 200-yard I.M. Mavrodin was 19th on theteam in points.
Freshman (2001-02):
Mavrodin earned All-America honors by finishing third in the400-yard individual medley and seventh in the 200-yard individualmedley at the NCAA national championships. Her season-best timesrank second in school history in the 400 IM, fifth in the 200-yardbreaststroke and sixth in the 200 IM. Mavrodin was honored by theconference as both the Swimmer of the Year and the Rookie of theYear. She won the maximum three individual events (200 IM, 200breast, 400 IM) at the conference championships.
