Prior to Emory:
Was a two-year letterwinner for the Henry M. Jackson High Schoolswimming team, serving as the team captain during her senioryear... Helped her team win the state championship in 2009... Swamcareer-best times of 1:55.96 in the 200-yard freestyle and 5:01.83in the 500-yard freestyle... Coached by Drew Whorley in highschool... Coached on her club team by Tom Pardee, where shefinished sixth at the state championships in the 500 free.

Born February 21, 1992... Won the AP Scholar award in highschool... Sister, Amber, swims for the University of Georgia.
