Biography

Senior (2012):

Leonard capped off her Emory career with another strong seasonin 2012, finishing 13th among Division III goalkeepers with a 0.459goals-against average and 38th with a 0.860 save percentage. Her overall goals-against average was the ninth-bestsingle-season mark in school history and the second-best markconference mark during the year, while her save percentage was the12th-best ever by an Eagle and second among league keepers. She claimed an honorable mention to the all-UniversityAthletic Association (UAA) Team for the second-straight seasonafter finishing third in the conference with a 0.71 GAA and secondwith a 0.827 save percentage in league games.  Appearing in aschool-record 24 games and logging a career-best 1,175 minutes and26 seconds during the year, Leonard finished the year with a 6-1-6record (setting a school record for ties in a season), whileconverting 37 saves and allowing just six goals.  Playing thesecond half and overtime of Emory's games during the season, shewas a part of each of the team's 14 shutouts during the year, tiedfor the second-best mark in school history.  The senior savedher best work for the end of the season, making 25 of her 37 savesduring the final eight games of the year, six of which were duringthe NCAA Championships.  Leonard made four saves during theEagles' double-overtime scoreless tie against Carnegie Mellon inthe NCAA quarterfinals, and made another two saves in the ensuingshootout to allow the Eagles to make their first NCAA Semifinalappearance.  She made another four saves in the second halfagainst Wheaton (Ill.) to earn the win in the semfinal contest, anda pair of second half saves in the championship match againstMessiah to keep Emory in the contest.  Leonard finished herEmory career ranked second in school history in both GAA (0.36) andties (11), third in save percentage (.900), and fifth in wins (24)and saves (117).  She allowed just 13 goals over her 3209career minutes played, spanning 64 games, and notched a careerrecord of 24-3-11.

Junior (2011):

Leonard claimed the first post-season honors of her career in2011, as the goalkeeper was named to the NSCAA all-South AtlanticRegion second team and an all-UAA honorable mention.  Sheallowed just three goals during the campaign, finishing the yearthird among Division III keepers with a 0.288 goals-against average(the second-lowest single season mark in Emory history) and sixthwith a 0.909 save percentage (fourth in Emory history). Playing the second half and any overtime period of all of theEagles' 20 games this season, Leonard totaled 30 saves and a 6-1-1record over the course of 939 minutes and 43 seconds.  She seta school record with 776 minutes and 30 seconds of scoreless playin goal, a streak stretching from October 29, 2010 through October1, 2011.  Leonard recorded a season-high five saves during 45shutout minutes in a 1-0 Emory win over Washington University (Mo.)on October 9th.  At the end of her junior season, Leonardranks first in school history with a 0.31 career goals-againstaverage and a .920 save percentage, in addition to sixth with 18wins (an 18-2-5 overall record) and 80 saves.

Sophomore (2010):

Leonard finished her 2010 campaign ranked ranked fourth amongall NCAA Division III goalkeepers with a school-record 0.926 savepercentage, and sixth with a 0.329 goals-against average, thesecond-best mark in school history.  Splitting time in goalwith teammate Erica Stein, Leonard appeared in 20 games during theyear, making three starts and playing a total of 1,094:06minutes.  She accumulated 50 saves and a 12-1-4 overallrecord, while recording one individual shutout and was a part ofeight others.  Leonard allowed just four goals during theyear, and just one in her final 10 appearances, while not allowingmore than one goal in any appearance.  The sophomore playedover 213 minutes of shutout soccer combined over four NCAATournament games, earning the victory in two games and winning ashootout in another.  Leonard notched her first individualshutout on September 19th, playing all 90 minutes of the Eagles'2-0 win over Rhodes College.  She was named the UniversityAthletic Association's (UAA) Defensive Player of the Week onSeptember 7th and November 22nd.

Played on the York Community High School soccer team for fourseasons...Helped her squad to a conference championship in 2008 andregional championship in 2009... Coached by Rachel Shepherd in highschool... Played 10 years club soccer for Team Elmhurst Premier,helping the team to the Illinois Women’s Soccer LeagueDivision Champions from2005-2006... Also played forthe Chicago Fire Juniors, where she was coached by Daryl Shoreand CJ Brown, helping the team to a Metro United Soccer TournamentChampionship in October of 2008 and to the finals of theOrange Classic International Tournament in Decemberof 2008... Also played club softball, volleyball, and was afour year varsity gymnast in high school... Earned all-academichonors 2009... Member of the National Honor Society.

Born July 3, 1991... Also an all-American sprinter for the Emorytrack and field team.
