Biography

Senior (2007):

Sanders played in 14 games during her senior season, making onestart during the campaign.  On September 16th, she helped theEagles to a 9-0 win over the University of the South (Tenn.) byscoring a goal and assisting on another.  Sanders finishes herEmory career with two goals and four assists for eight points, overthe course of 62 games and 28 starts. 

Junior (2006):

Sanders was a key role player for the Emory defense, coming offthe bench in 13 of the 14 games she played in for the Eagles. She helped to solidify a defense that recorded a 0.98 goals againstaverage and nine shutouts during the season.  The juniorcontributed offensively as well, recording a goal and two assistsfor four points during the season.  She scored a goal and anassist in the Eagles' 12-0 win over Mary Baldwin College(Va.).  She registered 15 shots during the season, eight ofwhich were on goal.

Sophomore (2005):

One of three players to start every game, sophomore JuliaSanders played all 18 games on the left wing of an Emory defensethat did not give up a lead all season. In all 11 games in whichthe Eagles took the first lead, the defense held opponentsscoreless. The defense earned 13 shutouts this season, third mostin Emory history, with five of those shutouts lasting intoovertime. The defense kept the Eagles in close games throughout theseason winning seven of eight games decided by one goal and postinga 4-0-2 record in overtime. Sanders had one assist this season,assisting on the game winner against Case Western ReserveUniversity (Ohio).

Freshman (2004):

Freshman Julia Sanders split time between the midfield anddefense. She started eight games for the Eagles and appeared in 16total.
