Jessica Fritsche-Hill joined the Emory University track and field program as assistant coach in September of 2019. Her primary responsibilities will focus on the jumps. In August of 2026, she became Associate Head Coach for the track & field programs.
Most recently, during the 2025-26 season, Jess Fritsche-Hill guided Henry Brandstadter to an NCAA Division III national runner-up finish, posting a top-10 all-time performance in NCAA Division III history.
Jess Fritsche-Hill has established a strong record of success at the conference, regional, national, and international levels during her time at Emory. A two-time South Region Coach of the Year (2024, 2026), she was also recognized as part of the 2025 UAA Men’s Staff of the Year following the team’s UAA championship.
Under Jess’s guidance, athletes have earned seven South Region Field Athlete of the Year honors and 18 All-American honors, along with three NCAA national runner-up finishes and two National Athlete of the Week honors. Most notably, Jess Fritsche-Hill coached Nikki Boon to two national titles and two current national records in the heptathlon and pentathlon in 2025. Boon also captured the 2025 Women’s Decathlon World Championship
Fritsche-Hill came to Emory after spending the 2018-19 season as a graduate assistant at Stevenson University (MD). She made a significant impact during her one year, mentoring two athletes to their first indoor national appearances in the long jump and heptathlon. In addition, she coached the school’s first female All-American in school history in the long jump during the outdoor season. Fristche-Hill coached 13 Mustangs to all-conference acclaim and helped the men’s team to its second straight Middle Atlantic Conference title.
Prior to her stop at Stevenson, Fritsche-Hill served a three-year stint as an assistant coach at Eastern University. Joining the Eagles for their inaugural season in 2015-16, Fritsche-Hill served as the program's primary jumps coach. While at Eastern, Fritsche coached 26 All-Conference jumpers, seven All-Region jumpers, six record holders and two USTFCCA All-Academic jumpers. She also coached two national qualifiers in the men's and women's triple jump.
Fritsche-Hill has her USTFCCCA Level 1 Coaching certification and is currently working on becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
A four year member of the Millersville University track and field team, Fritsche-Hill competed as both a jumper and a sprinter. As team captain, she led the Marauders to a top-three finish in the PSAC for the first time in school history. She was named all-conference in both her junior and senior years after coming back from a sophomore-year injury. She was also named a PSAC Scholar-Athlete all four years and was part of the All-Academic team.
Fritsche-Hill is a 2015 graduate of Millersville University, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Community Leadership and Education at Stevenson.
