Freshman (2020-21):
Made his presence felt during the Eagles' run to the national title ... Went 3-0 in singles with all of his decisions coming in the postseason ... Highlight came against Case Western Reserve when his 6-3, 6-4 victory over Anthony Kanam at six singles clinched Emory's 5-2 win in the national championship match ... Closed out Emory's 5-1 outcome over Johns Hopkins in the national semifinalsat No 6 singles, bettering Andrew Tran, 6-3, 6-3 ... Saw action in doubles during the squad's five-match run in the NCAAs, going 4-1 in that stretch ... He and Sahil Raina joined forces to post an 8-6 decision at No. 3 doubles against Rajan Vohra and Dylan Waters of Brandeis in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Championships, giving Emory a 3-0 edge in an eventual 5-0 triumph ... Against Vishnu Joshi and Eric Yoo of Johns Hopkins in the national semis, the Shah/Rainia tandem emerged with an 8-3 verdict at No. 3, boosting the Eagles to a 2-0 lead in what turned out to be a 5-1 win.
