Prior to Emory:

Was a two-year member of the Montgomery Bell Academy team, serving as a captain during his senior year... Placed fourth in the state in the 50 free in 2014 and was the 2014 400 Free Relay Champion... Named his team's Most Valuable Swimmer in 2014... Helped the squad to a runner-up finish at the 2013 state championships... Recorded career-best times of 24.07 in the 50 free, 53.64 in the 100 free, 1:00.47 in the 100 back and 1:58.65 in the 200 free... Was coached by Nathan Phillips in high school... Also swam for coach John Morse on his club team... Was a 2014 USA Swimming Summer Junior Nationals qualifier... Named the NAC's Most Improved Swimmer in 2013... Also played baseball in high school.

Personal:

Born November 11th... Was a selected artist for the 2014 Young Tennessee Artist at First Museum in Nashville... Received a glass-blowing grant from school.
