Biography
Senior (2004-05):
Rooney, a senior, earned his fourth consecutive varsity letterthis season. Rooney finished 18th on the team of 40 competitors inpoints scored in dual and championship meets this season.
Junior (2003-04):
Finished 22nd of 32 Emory competitors for most points scored indual and championship meets. .
Sophomore (2002-03):
Rooney finished 18th out of 32 Emory Swimmers and Divers for themost points earned in dual and championship meets. He finished 15thin the 50 freestyle (22.36), 12th in the 100 freestyle (48.40), and11th in the 200 freestyle (1:45.90) in the UAA Championships.
Freshman (2001-02):
Rooney garnered All-America status by swimming a leg on the800-yard freestyle relay that ended up fourth at the NCAAchampionships.
