Was a four-year swimmer for the Harmony High School team, serving as a team captain for two years... Earned a 2012 State Medal as a pair of his team's 200 Free Relay... Helped his squad to OBC, District and Regional Championships each of the last four years... Recorded career-best times of 22.20 in the 50 free and 49.80 in the 100 free... Won his team's Best Attitude Award... Coached by Terry Brown and Tom O'Rourke... Also swam for the Saint Cloud Aquatic Team, where he was coached by Lou Abbott.

Personal:

Born May 8th... Brother of teammate Luke Roberts... Worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor over the summer... Was an AP Scholar and third in his class in high school.

Why he chose Emory:

"I chose Emory for the top notch academics - I'm pursuing a degree in medicine, and I'm hoping to intern at the CDC.  I also love to write, and Emory is one of the top schools for writers."
