Transferred from Georgia Tech prior to the start of his sophomore year... Swan for the Farragut High School team for four seasons, serving as the team captain during his senior year... Was a four-time all-American and a city record holder in high school... Named an Army National Guard Medalist... Was a Junior National Qualifier and Finalist, and a National Qualifier... Recorded career-best times of 49.67 in the 100 Fly, 1:51.07 in the 200 Fly, and 1:42.10 in the 200 Free... Coached by Jim Rumbaugh and Jimmy Dabney in high school.
