Biography
Senior (2003-04):
In his senior season Seymour finished third in the 100-yardfreestyle at the national championships. He also swam a leg on the200-, 400-, and 800-yard freestyle relays and the 400-yard medleyrelay, helping him accumulate a school record-tying fiveAll-America citations in one season. Seymour will graduate with 12career All-America citations, the second most in school history.Seymour earned All-America honorable mention by finishing ninth inthe 200-yard free. He swam the team's fastest times of the seasonin the 100- and 200-yard freestyle events. Seymour placed fourth onthe team out of 32 competitors in points scored in dual andchampionship meets.
Junior (2002-03):
Seymour earned three All-America certificates as a member of the200- and 800-yard freestyle relays and the 400-yard medley relay.He has a career total of seven All-America certificates. Seymourwas honored once this season as both a conference and Emory Athleteof the Week. He had the team's top time this season in the 100- and200-yard freestyle events. Seymour now holds three of the top fivetimes in school history in the 100-yard freestyle. Seymour finishedfirst on the team among the team's 32 competitors for most pointsearned in dual and championship meets.
Sophomore (2001-02):
Seymour earned his first career All-America certificates as amember of four relays (200-yard freestyle, 400-yard freestyle,800-yard freestyle and 400-yard medley). His 100-yard freestyleswim in the 400-yard freestyle relay broke a school record and hisindividual performance in the 200-yard freestyle was the secondfastest in school history. He was given the team's Most ImprovedAthlete award.
