Keenan Hickton

Former Emory golf standout Keenan Hickton returned to the program as an assistant coach in the fall of 2018. In his return to the program, Hickton has elevated the program both at the conference and national level while being part of several UAA Coaching Staffs of the Year. In 2023-24 season, Hickton helped the Eagles achieve the best finish ever in program history, tying for third at the NCAA Championships, and aided the team to another UAA title - the fourth since he joined the coaching staff.

Hickton played at Emory from 2014 through 2018 and closed out his career in the No. 9 spot on the school's all-time scoring list, averaging 75.90 strokes over 88 rounds of competition.  Keenan was tabbed as a three-time All-University Athletic Association performer, earning first-team acclaim as a junior and senior and a second-team nod his sophomore campaign.

During the 2017-18 season, he tied for second on the squad with seven rounds of par or better and posted a pair of top-five finishes.  Keenan earned UAA Golfer of the Week honors (Oct. 23, 2017) for the first time in his career following his effort at the Golfweek DIII Fall Invitational where he led the team and placed second out of 90 players with a four-under par 209 (70-69-70), the program's second-best all-time score for a 54-hole event.  Later on that year we was named the UAA Championships Most Valuable Player.

A native of Pittsburgh, Penn., he distinguished himself in the classroom as a two-time member of the Srixon/Cleveland Golf Division III All-Scholar Team. He earned his degree from Emory in business administration in May of 2018.
