Took part in four competitions ... Best 8K time was a29:03 at the University of the South Invitational (Sept. 5) thatplaced him 50th out of 123 runners ... Also ran at the UGAInvitational (Sept. 19), Foothills Invitational (29:08) and quakerInvitational (Oct. 17).

Prior to Emory: Earned three letters as a member ofthe cross country and track and field programs at Berea HighSchool ... Was coached by Barb Hunter ... Best 5K time was 17:10 asa senior ... Ran a 4:42 in the 1,600 meters ... Also playedbaseball and golf while in high school.
