Biography

Joined the Emory program after spending his freshman year atPurdue University as a member of the cross country and track andfield teams.

Senior (2013):
Ranked among Emory's top three finishers in all six ofhis competitions ... Recipient of the program's Coaches Award ...USTFCCA All-Academic honoree ... Selected to the Capital OneAcademic All-District Track and Field/Cross Country Team ... Wasthe top Eagles' performer in three races ... Captured all-regionhonors after pacing the Emory pack and crossing the finishing inthe No. 8 position out of 174 runners at the NCAA South/SoutheastChampionships with a personal-best 8K time of 25:17 ... Second onthe squad and 30th out of 283 hopefuls at the OberlinInter-Regional Rumble with an 8K effort of 26:15 ... Was Emory'sfirst runner to finish and came in 129th out of 275 entries at theNCAA D-III Championships with an effort of 26:07. 

Junior (2012):

Scored for the Eagles in all five of the races he competed in ...Finished among the team's top three finishers in all five of hiscompetitions and was the squad's No. 1 runner on four occasions ...Captured all-region honors after placing 29th out of 160 runners atthe NCAA South/Southeast Championships with an 8K time of 26:57 ...Paced the Emory contingent at the UAA Championships with a thenpersonal-best 8K time of 25:47 ... Was the first Emoryrepresentative and 10th overall in 376-runner field to cross thefinish line at the Gibson Family Pre-Nationals with an 8K showingof 25:48 ... No. 1 on the squad and fourth out of 134 entries atthe season-opening Sewanee/Berry Invitational (26:32).

Sophomore (2011):

Named the Emory cross country team's Rookie of the Year aftercompeting in six meets and placing among the squad's top-fourfinishers in each competition ... Led the Eagles' contingent and was seventh out of 118 runners at the season-opening SewaneeInvitational (27:44) ... His season-best time of 26:54 was good forfirst on the team and 12th out of 94 hopefuls at the JSU FoothillsInvitational.

High School:
Four-year varsity letterwinner and cross country team MVP at St.Andrews School ... Two-time Florida State High School Track andField Championships qualifier, taking sixth place in the3,200-meter run as a senior ... Won district championships inthe 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs and a regional championship in the3,200 as a senior ... Named second-team all-county in cross countryand track and field by the Florida Sun-Sentinel newspaper... Also competed on his high school's soccer team.
