The Emory University men's swimming & diving team competed against the University of Georgia Saturday afternoon in the final dual meet of the season. The Eagles swam numerous NCAA B Cuts while going up against their Division I foes in Athens.
The Eagles did not take first in an event on Saturday but did rack up several top-three finishes on Saturday in the final tune-up before the team heads into the championship season. All told, the Eagles registered eight NCAA B Cuts on the afternoon.
Senior
Liyang Sun was the lone individual to earn a silver medal position on Saturday as he went under two-minutes in the 200 Breaststrokes, touching at 1:58.71. The Eagles added another second place effort in the first relay of the meet as seniors

Dylan Yin and junior
Henri Bonnault combined for a time of 1:27.46 in the 200 Medley.
In the solo events, Echols was a two-time third place finisher in the Butterfly events as he posted times of 1:48.86 in the 200 and 48.25 in the 100. For Bonnault, he also finished third in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 54.00 with Sun placing fourth behind him at 54.36. Yin added to Emory's third-place counter as he finished third in the 50 Free at 20.39.
Freshman
Zachary Spicer threw down a near-record pace in the 200 Backstroke as he placed third with a time of 1:45.90 while sophomore
Hayden Tupper was third in the 200 Freestyle at 1:39.80 and in the 400 IM, senior
Zachary Zhao paced the Eagles at 4:00.15 for his third place showing.
In the final event of the meet, Yin and Tupper along with freshman
Colin Zexter and junior
Caden Bjornstad highlighted the Eagles in the 200 Freestyle as the group took fourth with a time of 1:21.95.
The Eagles now turn their attention to the University Athletic Association Championships which will be held February 12-15 in Atlanta.
