Junior Sophia Garcia was at her absolute best this weekend in Iowa as she led the Eagles to their second-ever appearance in the Final Four. On Saturday, Garcia made four saves across 110 minutes of action before coming up clutch with a pivotal save in the fifth round of penalty kicks to send Emory onto the Round of Eight. In the quarterfinals on Sunday, Garcia made a career-high eight saves including several highlight-reel stops with a PK save in the opening minute of play and a leaping, one-handed save in the 72nd minute to record the clean sheet.
