Graduate student Brigid Hanley led the way for Emory at the Upstate Invitational, finishing individually out of 192 runners. The graduate student dashed to a 17:18.9 finish at the 5k distance to set a new personal-best. Hanley was one of four Eagles to finish in the top-10 as the Eagles won the event with ease.
