Junior Michelle Davidson anchored an Emory defense that posted a pair of shutouts this past week. Davidson played 28 minutes on Tuesday as the Eagles downed Oglethorpe, 7-0, and was part of the backline that allowed just one shot by the Stormy Petrels. On Sunday, Davidson logged 87 minutes to lead all Emory field players as the Eagles blanked #11 Case Western Reserve, 2-0. Davidson and the Emory defense allowed just five shots, three on goal, to the nationally-ranked Spartans as the Eagles won their first UAA game of the season.
