Senior Ben Pearce propelled the Emory Eagles to their first-ever appearance in the national championship game with a stellar performance in Fort Wayne. Pearce averaged 21 points, 5.0 assists and 4.5 rebounds as the Eagles defeated Illinois Wesleyan and Christopher Newport on their way to Indianapolis. In addition, Pearce made perhaps the biggest shot in Emory basketball history on Thursday when he sank the game-winning three-pointer with 1.4 seconds left to topple the Titans of IWU in the Elite Eight.
