Junior Yanire Marte had a standout weekend for the No. 3 Emory Eagles as the team went 2-0 in Tennessee against NAIA power Tennessee Wesleyan (5-2) and #26 Sewanee (7-0). Marte went 2-0 at No. 3 singles with straight-set performances, defeating TWU 6-1, 6-4 on Saturday before rolling to a 6-1, 6-1 result against her Sewanee counterpart on Sunday. Marte added a 2-0 mark in doubles alongside senior Izzy Antanavicius as the pair posted winning scores of 6-2 vs. TWU and 6-3 vs. Sewanee at the No. 2 spot.
