Ruilin Feng kicked off his collegiate career with a bang this past weekend, winning the ITA South Regional Doubles title alongside sophomore Christian Liew.The two faced off with one of the nation's top doubles teams in Sewanee's Jordan Theron and Quinn Wicklund in the tournament's championship round. he Eagles were outmatched in the opening set, falling 2-6. Yet, Liew and Feng jumped out to a quick 4-1 lead in the ensuing set. The Tigers clawed their way back to tie it up at 6 points apiece and force a tiebreaker – one the Eagles would win, 7-2, to force a third and final set. With a regional championship on the line, Liew and Feng took the momentum from the second set to win the final one, 6-4. This is the first ITA Regional Championship in both of their young careers.
