Junior McKee Thorsen was one of Emory's top performers this past week as the Eagles competed against Denison and Depauw at the Denison Invitation in Granville, Ohio. Thorsen was a two-time individual event winner as he swept the Butterfly events with times of 47.96 in the 100 and 1:46.86 in the 200 during the finals sessions. Thorsen added a fifth place effort in the finals of the 200 IM (1:49.00) and was fifth in the prelims of the 100 Breaststroke (55.52 - DNC in finals). Thorsen was also part of three top-three finishes in the relay events, aided the effort of second place finishes for the Eagles in the 800 Freestyle (6:37.63) and 400 Freestyle (2:57.96), swimming the anchor leg in both races in the finals to help achieve NCAA B Cuts in both. Thorsen also was the anchor leg in Emory's B team in the 200 Freestyle Relay that finished third at 1:21.37.
