Senior Ben Pearce averaged 29 points per game as the No. 3 Emory Eagles went 1-1 at the Midway Classic against Trinity and UC-Santa Cruz. On Saturday, Pearce scored 23 points on the strength of 6 three-pointers as the team fell by 12 to the Tigers. On Sunday, Pearce responded in a bounce back effort, scoring a career high 35 points to go along with eight assists and three steals to lead the Eagles past the Banana Slugs 96-78.
