Freshman Xinyi Zheng earned her first collegiate win at the Historic Triangle Invitational last week ending with a playoff on the 18th hole. In the win, Emory finished in first with a two-day score of 588 (+12). Zheng had the best round of her career thus far shooting a 68 (-4) on the second day of the tournament for a tie with CMU's Samantha Wang. Zheng shot four birdies and one bogey on the front nine and shot one under on the last nine holes to finish with a two-day score of 143 (-1). Zheng and Wang competed in a playoff on the 18th hole with Zheng coming out on top for the individual title.
