Senior Josh Grand was named the Sonny Carter Invitational MVP after leading the Eagles to a 2-0 tournament record at home against #4 Washington & Lee and Covenant. Grand picked up assists on both game-winning goals as Emory won both matches by one goal. On Friday, the Eagles scored with 3:35 remaining in regulation to knock off the highly-ranked Generals before scoring twice midway through the second half on Saturday to erase a 1-0 deficit to upend the Scots in the de-facto tournament championship game.
