Junior Mackenzie Duford played a major role in Emory winning the Montgomery Regional at the NCAA Tournament this weekend. She threw 17 innings of work and made an appearance in each of Emory's five games of the regional while throwing the final two innings in the regional final against Huntingdon. She struckout seven batters and allowed just eight earned runs in her five appearances. Duford also earned a win in the tournament opener against Transylvania striking out three batters and not allowing a run. She was named the to the Montgomery Regional All-Tournament team and was chosen as MVP.
