Junior Josh Zuckerman worked into the eighth inning for the first time this season before he was saddled with a no decision in Emory's extra-inning loss in game one of the series against WashU. Zuckerman allowed a first inning run before settling down to fire six more shutout frames until a lead off walk in the eighth ended his outing. Zuckerman's final line read two runs on two hits and four walks while striking out three.
