Senior Gabrielle Stravach helped the No. 22-ranked Emory women's cross country team to a first-place finish at the season-opening Georgia DIII Invitational.
Stravach crossed the finish line in the No. 1 spot out of 72 runners, clocking a 6k time of 22:44. Her performance helped the Eagles claim six of the top eight overall finishers, and top the five-team field with 22 points.
Dating from last year, Stravach has ranked as Emory's No. 1 runner in her last eight competitions.
