Emory University junior Jordan Wylie won the first singles match and third doubles match during the third-ranked Eagles’ 7-2 win over Shorter College, the 15th-ranked NAIA squad. Facing the nationally 22nd-ranked player in the NAIA, Wylie earned a straight-set 6-1, 6-2 victory. Teaming with freshman Danielle Truitt to comprise the Eagles’ third doubles pairing, the duo earned a key point with a 9-8 (4) win over their counterparts from Shorter. Wylie, the fifth-ranked singles and fourth-ranked doubles player in the Division III Atlantic South Region, improved to 6-3 in singles matches and 7-3 in doubles play this year. Thursday’s win was the third-straight for the Eagles, who improved to 3-2 during the spring season.
