Women's Soccer Earns Road Win at Berry, 1-0

The Emory University women's soccer team improved to 7-3 on the season Tuesday afternoon, picking up a road victory over in-state foe Berry College, 1-0, at Pearson Field in Mount Berry, GA.

The Eagles maintained possession throughout the contest as evidence by their 30-4 advantage in shots, Emory's sixth game with 30 or more shots this season. The Eagles also recorded a 9-2 edge in shots on goal and 12-5 lead in corner kicks.

Senior Caroline Kolski's goal in the 59th minute proved to be the deciding factor as it broke a scoreless tie. Junior Samantha Hilsee sent a through ball from the middle of the field to Kolski where she was able to finish in front.

For the game, Kolski paced the Eagles with four shots, to on target, including her third goal of the season. Kolski was one of 10 Eagles to record two or more shots in the balanced shooting attack.

Senior Haley Pratt moved to 7-2 between the posts as she made two saves in the shutout.  The cleansheet was the Eagles' fourth on the season and first since September 24th.

Emory is back on the pitch this Saturday, October 12th, as the Eagles host the No.-5 ranked Washington University in St. Louis Bears. Kickoff from the WoodPEC is set for 11:00 AM.
