Women's Golf Announces Commitments for 2019-20 Season

Emory Head Women's Golf Coach Katie Futcher has announced that the following student-athletes will be attending Emory University in the fall and competing for the 2019-20 women's golf program. 

Alice Acosta

Native of Beijing, China and currently residing in Gwinnett, GA. Member of the 2018 Georgia regional and state championship team. Individual golf accomplishments include a win and two second place finishes on the Hurricane Junior Tour during the summer of 2018. Stroke average decreased 4 strokes during the 2018 season. Hobbies include violin, guitar, flute, art, Chinese calligraphy, horror movies/books/shows and reading. Interested in studying medicine.



Shriya Agarwal

Native of India, currently residing in Singapore. Attends the United World College of South East Asia Dover and is finishing her International Baccalaureate curriculum. Individual school golf champion in 2017 and 2018. Top 5 finishes for three consecutive years at SEASAC International Golf Tournament. Member of her school's business team and head of Global Concern, an organization that raises money to help with the education of underprivileged children in Sri Lanka. Passionate about painting and was featured in her high school art exhibit creating over 10 pieces. Interested in pursuing business and/or physics.



Ksheera Jalakam

Native of Frisco, Texas and completing her high school degree at Heritage High School. National Honor Society member 2017-2019, a youth leader of Frisco City Council Campaign in 2016-2017, and an American Auxiliary Texas Girls State Qualifier in 2018. Three-time Heritage High School golfer of the year and two time 1st team all-district. Team captain 2017-2019. Hobbies include volunteering, baking and working out. Interested in studying business with emphasis in marketing and/or finance.





Keyi Ji

Native of New Zealand but has lived in Beijing and Bangkok. Currently finishing her senior year at The First Academy in Orlando, FL. Participated in international events as a junior all over southeast Asia. An accomplished artist and winner of the 60th side walk art festival. Hobbies include painting, drawing, and anything art! Interested in studying economics.



Lillian Knetter

Native of Madison, Wisconsin where she is finishing her high school career at Madison West High School. A member of the National Honor Society, the German Society and received academic all-state her junior and senior years. In 2017 advanced to the Wisconsin state golf championship as an individual and received honorable mention all-state. In 2018, individual winner of the Wildcat Invitational, placed second individually at her state regional tournament, was first team all-conference, and honorable mention all-state. Hobbies include frisbee, piano, baking, camping, water skiing and pottery. Interested in studying health and social sciences.



Natalie Spitzer

Native of Chicago, Illinois and is a senior at Hinsdale Central High School. National Honor Society member in both 2018 and 2019. Academically received the Scholar Athlete Award, the Young Scholar Award, and was named to the Dean's List in 2017 and 2018. High school team claimed 1st place in the IHSA West Suburban Conference and IHSA West Suburban Regionals tournaments in 2017. 2018 individual champion of the IHSA West Suburban Conference tournament. Co-President of Freedom Golf Association and an executive board member and national qualifier for Business Professionals of America. Hobbies include coaching with the Special Olympics and photography. Interested in studying marketing, digital media and photography. 



Amisha Singh

Native of Aurora, Colorado and is completing her International Baccalaureate diploma from Smoky Hill High School. Academic all-conference 2016-2018. Finished T-18 at the 5A Colorado State tournament in 2017 and T-14 in 2018. Shot a round of 72 in the 2017 Colorado CHSAA 5A regional tournament. Hobbies include painting, hiking, and reading. Interested in pursuing a biology degree.
