Ashley Oldshue Named WBCA Honorable Mention All-American

Emory senior Ashley Oldshue (Glenview, IL) has been recognized by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) as a 2018-19 Honorable Mention All-American.

The 6-foot-2 Oldshue was the catalyst in helping the Eagles to the program's first NCAA Tournament berth since 2013. A First Team All-University Athletic Association honoree for the third straight year, Oldshue paced the squad and ranked fourth in the league with a 16.7 points-per-game scoring average, the sixth-highest mark in school history. A starter in all 26 games, Oldshue produced 24 games of double-digit point production and finished as the team's leading scorer on 18 occasions.  She converted a conference-best 55.4 percent (173-of-312) of her field goal attempts, good for 27th place in the Division III ranks and fifth on the school's seasonal chart. Tabbed as the UAA Player of the Week four times during the course of the campaign, she grabbed team-high 8.2 rebounds per game, good for fourth place among league leaders. She recorded nine games with 10 or more boards and led the Eagles in that category in 15 contests. She held down the No. 2 position on the conference chart in blocked shots (2.1 bpg) with her 55 rejections a season record.

During her four-year career, Oldshue rang up 1,302 points, good for a fourth-place tie on the school's all-time ladder, while her 661 rebounds landed her fifth on the school's all-time list.

Emory closed out the year with an overall record of 19-7, including a 10-4 slate in UAA play that tied for second.
