In his most recent action, Matt Organisak paced the Eagles' contingent and tied for fifth place out of 75 players at the 54-hole Gordin Classic (Sept. 30 - Oct. 1) held at the 7,097-yard, par-72 Columbus Country Club in Ohio.
Organisak carded a final score of five-under par 211 (70-68-73) that tied the program's sixth-best individual score for 54 holes. His second-round performance of four-under par 68 represented the best score by an Emory player at the tournament.
Emory, ranked No. 1 in the NCAA D-III ranks, wrapped up the Classic with a third-place finish out of 15 teams.
So far this fall, Organisak is averaging a team-best 71.5 strokes over six rounds (two tournaments) and has shot par or better on four occasion.
