Emory University junior Gabrielle Stravach was named the University Athletic Association Women's Co-Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the Association office on Monday afternoon.
Stravach shaved almost six seconds off her personal best time to set a new school record in the 1500m Run Friday night at the Dr. Keeler Invitational. She turned in a time of 4:30.65 to finish second overall in the event. Her new mark moved her into first place among UAA leaders and seventh nationally.
The Eagles are currently slated to compete at the Gregory Invitational this Wednesday and Thursday at North Central College as a final tune up for the 2017 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships.
